About
Team and trustees
The people who keep the Hub running every day of the week, and the trustees who oversee it.
BNJC is a hub for Jewish life in Brighton & Hove, and everyone is welcome here. Ready to welcome you every day of the week is the team who keep the kosher restaurant, deli, programmes, nursery, gym and stays running. You can meet them here.
Jewish life has been part of this city for more than 250 years, and the hub is your place to celebrate, learn and connect, built for the generations still to come. There’s always room for one more at the table, so come inside.

Read bioClose bio for Yosef Silver
Yosef is Head of Marketing, Communications, Brand and Performance at BNJC, and is no stranger to New Church Road. He attended Torah Academy, the school that once stood on this site, where he learned to find his way around a prayer book and to count to ten, and spent weekends of his youth in synagogue at Middle Street.
Since then he has lived in England, Israel and America. He is the founder of the marketing agency Fusion, and brings a tech-first, data-driven approach to marketing, with a can-do attitude to bringing community together. Before he started splitting his time between the USA and Brighton for this role, he founded Gather KC, a community initiative to break down boundaries in Jewish communities.
He loves to cook, write and travel, and one of his first initiatives at BNJC was to write How to Jew, an internal handbook that bridges gaps and explains that all Jews are welcome and there’s no single right way to show up. His advice to anyone new to BNJC is the same thing the buildings that once stood here asked of him: come inside, and come in curious.
